"In the Studio" is a virtual series that highlights upcoming artists before they get to the gallery at the Mesquite Arts Center. We discuss the backgrounds of each artist / collective, and dive into "behind the scenes" experiences that you may not be able to learn when viewing the artwork in person.

From July 7 - September 22, we highlight the Dallas Graffiti Crew "Sour Grapes". Made up family and long-time friends... In 2025, they are celebrating their 25th anniversary as a graffiti crew that is involved with their community. Giving back and engaging with those who may not know who they are and why they do what they do...We encourage you to take a moment and watch the YouTube video about this artist's collective.

If you would like to MEET + GREET them, please visit with them at the Monarch Fest! hosted at Mesquite Arts Center on Saturday, July 19 (10-12:30 PM). They will be hosting a workshop, where you can make your paleta (popsicle).
