Opening Reception: Go; Gone
Please join the Mesquite Arts Council for the opening reception featuring local artist Eric Thayer.
His exhibition - Go; Gone - explores the pandemic's impact on the systems that frame our existence. The rapid disruption of these systems altered the trajectory of millions of lives, including that of the artist. In response, these works of sculpture, photocollage and video attempt to make sense of the accumulation, displacement and the liminal space between stability and collapse.
The opening reception provides an opportunity to meet the artist and learn about the experiences, processes and ideas that helped inspire this body of work.
